Deathly Hallows - Already LIVE and kicking...

'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' has been released, rather leaked by some Jack Sparrow of the internet world, well ahead of the official release date..

The book has not come out in 'black and white' (read hard copies) but in colorful photographs shot with a Canon EOS Rebel DSLR Camera. I'm sure these picture-pages would have been the most sought after 'photographs' taken by the 'You-don't-know-who' (our Jack Sparrow).

Here is a sample page of the 'photo'+'copy' (I sometimes wonder at the ability of the English language to express ideas with the minimal use of words).

But Mr. Sparrow, you've got a long way to go in document photography.I had to struggle a lot with picasa to make this one readable. (oops...what have I done?)

Remember the leak of 'Sivaji' songs before even the audio launch?

Hope HP7 stays up to its expectations, atleast the way 'Sivaji' tried to. (The comment was only about the songs of Sivaji... surely not about the movie!!)

But one thing is for sure. Both HP7 and Sivaji will go all the way in yielding their creators unimaginable riches, whether or not they are worth the hole you burn in your pocket.

'Harry Potter and the Order of the phoenix' was a lot of fun both on and off screen.

Disclaimer: Spoiler Warning ;-)

The best dialogue of 'Harry Potter 5' erupted during the scene where Hagrid takes Harry, Ron & Hermoine to meet Grawp, his giant brother. The dialogue was not from the movie, but from my friend Balajee. Here it goes...

Hagrid (in the movie, to the trio): He's my brother...eh... half-brother

Balajee (seated next to me, literally taken aback by the size of 'Grawp' on screen): Machan! Half brother-ae ivlo perusa irukkan-na appo full-brother evlo perusu iruppan!

Update: (The dialogue of Balajee in English) Dude! If just a 'half' brother is this huge, how huge will be a 'full' brother?!?

I had an opportunity to visit a soft drink bottling plant in chennai. It was there that I really felt the intensity of Cola wars.

The summer was creating extremely high demand for colas in the market irrespective of pesticide issues and the advent of health conscious drinks in the market.

The plant was going haywire over the market demand and the lack of production capacities to match the demand. Losing sales to the competitor, even to a very small level leads to huge issues in the business plans of both the players in the industry.

Colas still rule the market as the best option for a cool drink. They have also wonderfully handled the 'natural food' revolution, with their own so called natural products (Slice/Maaza) keeping the market intact.

But who can change this phenomenon, other than the end consumer ;-)

Trivia Outside the bottling plant, I could see a pile of this obsolete crates of 1 litre GRBs (Glass Returnable Bottles). But I could not believe my eyes.

Obsolescence kills competion!

The white smoke signified the election of Cardinal Joseph Alois Ratzinger as the Pope with the title 'Pope Benedict XVI'.

Today he celebrates his 80th birthday.

When I rolled over to my right and looked at my N73, the alarm was ringing after three times of auto snooze.

5.45 AM. It was yet another end of sleep for me.

I slowly got out of my spider web of a bedsheet and moved over to my pc. My lips widened into a smile and got promoted into a grin. The download speeds were upwards of 150 KBps (note the ‘B’).
Kudos to BSNL and aXXo.

Sitting in the loo I heard the violin music of ‘Pachaikili Muthucharam’. It took me sometime to realise realise that it was my N73 again. I could also hear my manager’s suththa thamizh name being kadichi thuppified by Nokia’s ‘caller name’ tool. I suddenly rushed out to pick the call….and I missed it. Frustrated (its terribly frustrating to rush out of something important like that to pick a call and missing it) I resumed my operations after putting my N73 to silent mode.

Twenty Five minutes later I was hanging some 50 feet above sea level (not above the sea). The grip was loosening. The height was scaring the shit out of me. My weight was pulling me down. I closed my eyes to see all the pizzas' and brownies' I had eaten in my life laughing sarcastically at me...

Then it happened…

I lost the grip… it was a free fall from 50 feet. I could feel my digestive system working faster than a 64 bit AMD processor.

As I was about to hit the ground, I heard that voice…

“Bala! ezhundhuttiya da? yenda fone-a edukkave illa?”

I suddenly woke up from my loo sleep…Huh…one more end to sleep!
